About the movement: a working group on the youth education system will appear in the AP

The number of participants in the "Movement of the First" has reached 11 million people: in less than three years, they began to actively open representative offices in both large cities and small towns. Vladimir Putin stated this on March 26 at a meeting of the supervisory Board of the movement of children and youth. By 2030, their number may increase to 18 million. The president also addressed the participants of the organization at the opening ceremony of the IV congress: he told the youth about the main secret of how to find their place in life and in which a person is sure to find their happiness. On the same day, the head of state visited the large-scale exhibition "Journey through Russia". Who, in the opinion of the president, should be involved in the education of young people and what is Vladimir Putin's favorite place in St. Petersburg - in the Izvestia article.
What Putin talked about with the participants of the "Movement of the First"
On March 26, Vladimir Putin arrived at the Rossiya National Center, which preserves the heritage of one of the most visited exhibitions in the country. We are talking about the international exhibition at VDNKH, where all regions of the country presented their achievements: over 18 million people visited it in eight months. The Head of State visited the large-scale exhibition "Journey through Russia" with a total area of more than 3 thousand square meters. m. Here you can stroll through the Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural, Volga, Central, Southern, and Northwestern districts.
Passing by the North Caucasus Federal District, the president, for example, felt the apple flavor: there he was told that every fifth apple on Russian shelves comes from the North Caucasus. "It's not enough yet, we need more!" said Vladimir Putin with a smile.
Passing through the interiors of St. Petersburg, the guide asked Vladimir Putin what his favorite place in his hometown was. "You named the Mariinsky Theatre as one of your favorite places. I try to go there," he replied, adding that he liked the production of The Nutcracker.
On March 26-28, the IV Congress of the Movement of the First, uniting children and youth, is being held at the Rossiya National Center. About three years ago, its inception caused a certain resonance in society: many saw similarities with the pioneers in the new structure. By the way, the relevant bill on the creation of this movement was introduced on May 19, 2022, on the day of the 100th anniversary of the pioneer. However, the authorities explained at the time that the organization was part of history, and it was created on the initiative of the state, unlike the "Movement of the First", which the children themselves had requested.
On the day of the start of the congress, the program included master classes, games and a festive concert, for which they prepared thoroughly: creative groups rehearsed their dance and singing routines in the corridors. Everyone knew that Vladimir Putin would come to the ceremony. In total, there were more than 1,000 participants in the hall. All of them greeted the president with thunderous applause and cheers. The Head of State addressed the youth from the stage and reminded them that one of the main tasks of the movement is to help its participants find their place in life. And to do this, you need to find a business that you are ready to devote yourself to, he noted.
"Do you know what the secret is? Sharing what you have with others, helping others, supporting others. This is where a person finds himself best. This gives a person the greatest satisfaction in helping their loved ones: mom, dad, brother, sister, friends. The small town or village in which he lives. A big city. Or our entire beloved homeland, Russia," the head of state said.
After the concert, the participants told Izvestia that many of them had dreamed of seeing the president. If they had the chance, they would offer the head of state "hundreds, thousands of ideas" on how they see the future of this movement.
— I've been with the "firsts" from the very beginning. We come up with many projects in schools, participate in various initiatives from the region. I like that they take us seriously and are ready to listen to us. For example, I would ask the president to invite parents and families together more often to travel with us or to some interesting projects," Sofia from the Chelyabinsk region told Izvestia.
How many people will become participants in the movement by 2030
The President discussed more detailed goals, objectives and plans for the development of the structure at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Movement of the First. Now there are over 11 million people in its ranks. Vladimir Putin even compared such numbers to a "decent army." By 2030, it is planned to attract up to 18 million participants to these ranks, said Artur Orlov, chairman of the Board of the movement. Moreover, it is especially important that the "firsts," as they call themselves, are actively working in both large cities and small towns, Vladimir Putin said.
"It is necessary to further increase and improve the infrastructure of the movement — it, I emphasize, should be everywhere where there are children and teenagers, and we have them everywhere, thank God, so the movement should work everywhere — to create a single, integral, interconnected system for children at their place of residence, study, and schools colleges, universities, additional education organizations, and children's health camps," the head of state added.
For example, Mikhail Kotyukov, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, who participated in the supervisory Board, spoke about plans to build a multifunctional center for children and youth in Krasnoyarsk on the banks of the Yenisei River in 2028. The Square of Firsts is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city. The center will consist of a complex of buildings. "To make it possible to place a Center of scientific and technical creativity for children and youth there, on the other hand, to create public spaces," the head of the region explained.
The young participants of the meeting also hastened to express their suggestions. Nikita Kamynin, one of the movement's representatives, addressed Vladimir Putin at the meeting. He spoke about his passion for drones and suggested that schoolchildren be more actively involved in learning how to fly UAVs, for example, through competitions. The Head of State noted that such skills can be useful not only for military purposes, but primarily in agriculture or industry. He promised that Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov would study the issue.
A significant role at the meeting was devoted to the education of the younger generation. Vladimir Putin even proposed the creation of a working group under the presidential administration on the development of the education system. It will unite and coordinate the efforts of representatives of the entire education system, culture, sports, parent communities and public organizations.
The Head of State reacted positively to the trend that more and more participants in the special operation are appearing among the mentors of the movement. By the way, Hero of Russia Vladislav Golovin was present at the meeting of the Supervisory Board, who proved himself during his military service.
"It is very important that veterans of military operations, people of different nationalities, ages, professions, who stood together to defend the Motherland, stand side by side in the most important, most fundamental matter for the future of Russia — in the education of children and adolescents," Vladimir Putin added.
Nadezhda Alymova, a volunteer from the Kursk regional office, is among the participants of the meeting. She told Vladimir Putin about working with children in temporary accommodation facilities for evacuated residents of the region. According to her, one girl wrote that she wanted to return to Suju, and the city had already been liberated at that time. The volunteer thanked the president on behalf of all residents of the border region.
"As for this desire to return home to Cambodia, it's not for me — first of all, words of gratitude to our fighters, our real men, your brothers, your fathers," the head of state replied.
Patriotic education also plays an important role. Vladimir Putin believes that the regional authorities should pay special attention to preparing schools for the celebration of the Victory anniversary.
