37-year-old Ebenezer Tette is a much more serious opponent. He started his professional career in April 2012 and won his first 19 fights in seven years. Before reaching the international level, he won several national heavyweight titles, making him one of the continent's top boxing hopes.

Ebenezer suffered his first defeat from the current IBF world champion Daniel Dubois, whose fight remains one of the most significant in his career. Tette and Dubois fought on September 27, 2019 in London, in which Tette lost by technical knockout in the first round. After Dubois, the Ghanaian won four fights in a row, and then faced another top boxer, Dillian Whyte. Tette refused to continue the fight after the seventh round — by that time he had given all three minutes.

It is after this bout in Gibraltar that Tettey will face Sergey Kuzmin (Ebenezer has another fight scheduled in the UK in April, against Fraser Clark). Tette has fought 25 fights in his entire career, scoring 23 victories, 20 of which by knockout. The most striking of them happened in a duel against Stephen Abbey, when Tette finished the fight in the first round.

Interestingly, Sergey Kuzmin referred to Tette as a dangerous opponent even before he had to face Gantz on short notice instead of Alexei Papin. Commenting on the match between Tette and Papin, which had not yet broken down, Kuzmin advised his compatriot to be ready for a dangerous fight.

— This is the first time this has happened in my career (coming out on short notice), but the amateur boxing experience should help me, — said Sergey Kuzmin. — I'm ready, I've been training — in the last ten days, as the replacement was announced, we adjusted the preparation with my team. We will come out in great shape and show a beautiful cool fight. I understand perfectly well that I have a dangerous opponent. He fought with top boxers. Of course, this is a great experience. When you box with such names, even in a lost fight you learn some skills, you look for your mistakes in order to be perfect in the next fight. Therefore, I think that such names in his track record, of course, add confidence to him.

Tette was brief before the fight.

— I trained well and therefore I am sure that I will win against Kuzmin, — Ebenezer declared. — I watched a couple of fights of the opponent and I understand what tactics to choose so that the referee would raise my hand.

Igor Sviridchenkov as Roniel Iglesias

Sviridchenkov is a boxer from the Voronezh region. In May 2023, at the World Cup in Uzbekistan, he reached the 1/4 finals, where he lost on points to local Saijamshit Jafarov. For his participation in this stage of the tournament, he was awarded the title of "Master of Sports of International Class". Since 2019, he has been competing at all-Russian competitions. Roniel has been at a high level for a very long time, it's an incredible level, I watched the fights with Andrey Zamkov and the final of the last Olympics, when he won. Roniel Iglesias is a Cuban fighter known for his charisma and incredible endurance. In 2012, at the Summer Olympics in London, he won the Olympic gold medal, defeating Ukrainian Denis Berinchik, and in 2021 he repeated the achievement by winning a second gold medal — in the final he defeated British Pat McCormack.
