Families with children have become a third more likely to come to Moscow after the opening of the Island of Dreams amusement park in the capital. This became known at a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Amiran Mutsoev, founder of the Regions Group of Companies and Chairman of the Board of the Island of Dreams company. In more than four years, the amusement park has been visited by 19.6 million guests.

What was discussed at the meeting

Thanks to the Island of Dreams amusement park, which was opened in the Nagatinskaya floodplain, families with children began to come to Moscow 30% more often, said Amiran Mutsoev. Tourists also spend twice as much time in the capital now: they used to come for three days, but now they come for six. In total, about 20 million visitors a year visit Moscow.

The President got acquainted with the presentation of the project and noted that it is "the largest indoor amusement park in Europe." However, according to Amiran Mutsoev, the Island of Dreams can claim world leadership.

Now the park's territory reaches 100 hectares: in four years of operation, its area has grown by 40%, and the number of attractions has increased by 30%. Two years ago, the park also opened a concert hall with 3.5 thousand seats and the largest urban complex in Europe with swimming pools with 3.5 thousand sun beds, it has already been visited by 400 thousand people. In 2026, the open part of the amusement park will also be operational. In total, the Island of Dreams employs about 1,850 employees. "It's decent," the head of state said.

Approximately 19.6 million guests visited the Island of Dreams in just over four years, Amiran Mutsoev said. The opening of the amusement park took place on February 29, 2020. In addition, GC Regions also acted as an investor in the construction of a Ferris wheel at VDNH. It has become the highest in Europe, Mutsoev said. It was visited by about 12 million people. "Everything is large—scale," the head of state appreciated.
